People are treated with EMDR to address a range of difficulties.  This approach has found success with anxiety disorders (e.g. fear of public speaking, fear of flying, phobias), reactive depression, post traumatic stress and chronic pain.  Some reports indicate that it can be helpful in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Some people have experienced regular or severe early life traumas which impact on how they live their lives now.  Often this requires extensive psychotherapeutic work before using EMDR.  Our experienced therapists know this and will explain the treatment plan clearly.

EMDR therapists are carefully selected for admission to training courses in the United  Kingdom and Ireland.  They can choose to go through three levels of training and then can undergo consultation on their practice to achieve recognition with EMDR Europe as an Accredited Practitioner.  Those who gain further experience and expertise can achieve Accredited Consultant status with EMDR Europe.

Two of our Directors are EMDR Europe Approved Consultants.  They assist other therapists to improve their EMDR clinical practice through ongoing consultation and training of new entrants. One Director is also an  EMDR Europe Approved Trainer while the other holds Facilitator status with the EMDR Institute.  As the majority of our team are trained in EMDR we can offer you our expertise in helping you address your difficulty.
